Survey for Whitefish residents to inform sustainable tourism plan

The City of Whitefish's Sustainable Tourism Management Committee asks residents and stakeholders to take a five-minute survey to inform updates to the Sustainable Tourism Management Plan.  

Responses to the survey are lagging, compared to those to a similar survey sent out in 2023, according to Explore Whitefish. 

Explore Whitefish, or the Whitefish Convention and Visitors Bureau, is a 501c(6) nonprofit organization tasked with managing tourism for Whitefish. Explore Whitefish recognizes that visitation is the primary driver of the Whitefish economy and contributes significantly to the resort tax.  

The purpose of the Sustainable Tourism Management Plan is to promote sustainable community-based tourism development that is beneficial to community members and visitors. It relies on community input to identify fundamental values that underlie plan recommendations. These values are expressed as the three key pillars of community character, livability and engagement.
