Police Calls: Calling 911 to get the 411

Feb. 19

The caller on Mill Avenue reported not feeling safe because his neighbor’s dogs are always off leash. They had attacked his dog in the past. 

Someone called 911 to ask, “what’s going on in town?” the caller was advised to use 911 for life-or-death emergencies only. 

A customer reportedly stole some money from another customer’s purse at a business on Central Avenue. 

Feb. 20

A one-eyed female Siberian husky was found and attempts were being made to return the dog to her owner. 

A back alley on Baker Avenue was blocked with construction crews for a few hours. 

An older, tri-colored beagle was found. 

A trailer attached to a truck was sticking out into the road, blocking traffic on Central Avenue. 

There was a shovel in the road. 

Feb. 21

The caller reported that someone put two coolers full of food into her truck and she wanted law enforcement to take it. 

The driver of a grey Chevy went into the store on Highway 40 and bought more alcohol and left the location despite the fact he could hardly stay standing. 

The driver of a white Ford F250 was seen swerving into the other lane and randomly breaking on Spokane Avenue. 

Feb. 22

The driver of a grey Ford Explorer was seen driving recklessly on Sixth Street. He was speeding and almost caused multiple accidents. 

Nine vehicles were stickered for storage throughout the day. 

A frightened German Shepherd mix was found between backyards on Iowa Avenue. It was not known where the dog lived.
