Ralph LeRoy Lamberson, 75

| March 5, 2025 12:00 AM

Ralph LeRoy Lamberson, 75, passed from this world to begin his journey to the spirit world on Feb. 9, 2025, surrounded by family. He had been under hospice care and daughter-in-law, Jessica was his loving and tireless caregiver. Ralph was a true native Whitefish resident born to true Whitefish natives, Cloyd and Julia Baker Lamberson on May 2, 1949. He attended school and graduated from Whitefish High School in 1967.

He was married for nearly 60 years to the love of his life, Susan “Susie” Petersen Lamberson. Of this union four children were born, Darin, Lonnie, Tara and John. He joined the IBEW in 1967 after graduation. He served a four-year college equivalent power lineman apprenticeship and continued his career his entire working life, retiring in 2010. He spent 27 years as a utility power lineman and finished his career on construction of windmills and transmission towers, hanging out of a helicopter installing power lines to the tops — he loved every minute of it. He also owned and operated a home inspection business while also doing line work in Seattle. Ralph and Susie traveled to every state in the union by car, except for plane trips and a cruise to Hawaii.

He is survived by his wife, Susie at the family home, sons, Darin of Kalispell, John (Jessica) of Whitefish, daughter, Tara Rose (Gregg) of Palm Springs, and his brother, John of Lacey, Washington. He is also survived by his many friends and his special cousins, "the Doyle Girls," Judy, Charlene and Candy, his grandchildren, Julia Anne, Logan, Jaynie, Josie and Izik, and four great-grandchildren, Aarikah, Mikah, Ryder and Aurora “Moonbeam.”

He was preceded in death by son, Lonnie Michael in 2001 and parents, Cloyd and Julia Lamberson.

We miss you so much every day. May your journey to the spirit world be peaceful.

A picnic, fishing storytelling day will be held later in the Spring when the fish are biting.

Please make donations in the lieu of flowers to the Hospice Society. These people are wonderful and so caring. Special thanks to Hospice and his nurses at the Brendan House.
