Police Calls: 911 not number to call for ride

Jan. 10
After pulling to the shoulder of Highway 93, the caller’s engine reportedly exploded and went up in smoke.
A silver SUV was in the median on JP Road.
A brown dog was running around Karrow Estates Road and was reportedly, eating a chicken or a turkey in the caller’s field.
A caller had concerns about a vehicle parked along Ramsey Avenue blocking traffic and, especially, a potential fire truck needing to get through.
In a hit-and-run on Creek View Drive, a driver backed into another vehicle and left. There were no injuries and the striking vehicle was thought to be a food delivery vehicle.
A group of 10 people were in the pool/lounge area of a location on Wisconsin Avenue. They were not thought to be owners or guests and the caller wanted them trespassed.
A person who was heavily slurring his words called 911 to say he needed a ride home. The man was advised that 911 was not the appropriate number to call for a ride and was told to call a taxi, Uber or other ride service.
Jan. 11
A vehicle on Cedar Street was apparently gone through and a piece of the dashboard was broken off but it seemed nothing was missing from the vehicle.
A car went off Monegan Road and required a tow truck.
A white Nissan SUV slid off Sawtooth Drive.
Two pickups, a GMC and a Ram collided on Central Avenue. There were no injuries.
A reckless driver on Wisconsin Avenue was reported. The driver tailgated and swerved at the caller on purpose.
Two minivans, one silver and one black, collided in a parking lot on Ashar Avenue. There were no injuries.
Reportedly, a Chevy keeps parking on the sidewalk on Evergreen Avenue. It is a matter for HOA enforcement.
The driver of an Audi A4 was seen swerving on the Big Mountain Road.
A caller said a dog on Orchard Lane had been barking for three hours. The residents of the location were not present.
