Whitefish wrestler Landree Aurand led the Bulldogs at the state tournament in Billings Feb. 14-16, earning the team’s highest finish at fourth place.

The senior was the Western A Divisional champion at 144 pounds.

Aurand lost the third-place state match to Isiaha Otto of Havre.

Bulldog Logan Heyne had a win before falling to Trystan Knight of Billings Central.

Brandon Healy of Havre won by fall over Whitefish’s Sam Akey.

For the Whitefish girls, 130-pound division champion Taylor Dorvall was the only one to advance to state. Dorvall opened with a pin against Sophia Schoepp of Sidney/Fairway but fell to Aly Dinardi of Custer County in the next round.
