Lady Bulldogs fall to Ronan, Columbia Falls
The Whitefish girls basketball team faced a tough week against quality opponents on the hardwood, falling to both Ronan and Columbia Falls in Northwest A conference action.
Ronan 63, Whitefish 20
The Bulldogs struggled to find their rhythm against a dominant Ronan squad, falling 63-20 on Thursday. Ronan’s Kailyn Marengo led all scorers with 14 points, including three shots from beyond the arc, while Arianna Zepeda added 13 and Nevaeh Perez chipped in 11 for the Maidens.
Ronan (9-6, 6-3 Northwest A) took control early, building a 15-8 lead after the first quarter and exploding for 29 points in the second to put the game out of reach by halftime.
Whitefish (4-8, 2-5) was held scoreless from three-point range and couldn’t generate consistent offense. Charlize Ullrich led the Bulldogs with eight points, and Allie Shors contributed seven.

Columbia Falls 55, Whitefish 28
Whitefish suffered another setback on Tuesday, falling 55-28 to rival Columbia Falls. Onnikka Lawrence paced the Wildkats with 14 points, and Taryn Borgen added nine as Columbia Falls used a dominant third quarter to secure the win.
The Wildkats (7-8, 5-4 Northwest A) led 27-18 at halftime before outscoring Whitefish 17-4 in the third quarter, putting the game out of reach.
Carmella Alfieri led Whitefish (4-9, 2-6) with 11 points, while Allie Shors contributed six. Despite a strong effort from Alfieri, the Bulldogs struggled to match Columbia Falls' depth and scoring balance.
