Whitefish Theatre Company presents black curtain production ‘Daniel’s Husband’
The Whitefish Theatre Company presents their first Black Curtain theatre production of the 2024-2025 season, “Daniel’s Husband” by Michael McKeever. Called “a beautiful, timely and urgent piece of art”, this show has performances on Saturday, Sept. 21, at 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, Sept. 22, at 7:30 p.m.
“I am so excited to share this story with our community,” said Director Kim Krueger. “It’s a touching story of family, friends and the friends we choose as family. The characters are well rounded and so flushed out in the script, yet we are still surprised by some of the choices made when there is a turn of events that upends everyone's life.”
Mikey Winn stars as Daniel Bixby, David Blair as Mitchell Howard, Christopher DeJohn as Barry Dylan, Adam Robinson as Trip and Gail Cleaveland as Lydia Bixby.
Viewers are reminded that as a Black Curtain production, there will be minimal staging, set and props and actors will be reading from a script. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for students for all shows. Tickets can be purchased at the Box Office at 1 Central Avenue in Whitefish, by calling 862-5371 or online at www.whitefishtheatreco.org. This season's Black Curtain Series is generously sponsored by Bet & Doug Wise and John & Marianne Evenhuis.
