NO. 2790 CITY OF WHITEFISH NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON RESORT TAX ADMINISTRATIVE ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at its regular meeting to be held on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 7:10 p.m. in the Whitefish City Council Chambers, 418 E. 2nd Street, the Whitefish City Council will hold a public hearing for the purposes of receiving public input and approving amendments to the Resort Tax Administrative Ordinance found in Chapter 3, Resort Tax, of the Whitefish City Code. The amendments include providing an extension of 20 years and revising the uses of resort tax pursuant to voter approved changes during the November 7, 2023, general municipal election, updating the goods and services subject to and exempt from resort tax based on official interpretations, and revising the applicable penalties for failure to report or remit taxes. Individuals may appear in person or submit written testimony regarding the proposed amendments. Written comments may be delivered in-person or mailed to the Whitefish City Clerk, 418 E. 2nd St., P.O. Box 158, Whitefish, MT 59937, or emailed to mhowke@cityofwhitefish.org by 4:00 pm on Monday, November 4, 2024.
