Science Quencher shares range of expertise

| October 23, 2024 1:00 AM

The Whitefish Lake Institute's Science Quencher provides an opportunity to attend talks about Montana ecology including grizzly bear mating, Flathead native fisheries, river ecology and the state of Whitefish Lake.

The event is Nov. 1 from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake. Fisheries and bear experts from Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks, river engineers from the River Design Group, and Whitefish Lake Institute’s Mike Koopal will share their passion for ecology and conservation.

“The Science Quencher is a fun local gathering,” said Durae Belcer, program coordinator at the Whitefish Lake Institute. “I like that it touches on a few different topics and the presenters are passionate about what they do and love sharing it with the audience.”

Complimentary refreshments are served from 5 to 5:30 p.m. followed by 10-15 minute “lightning round” talks with time for questions.
