On Saturday, Oct. 5, energized volunteers will learn how to “work the vote” and influence their future by knocking on doors and making phone calls. To sign up, email Ziets@mtdems.org.
On Sunday, Oct. 6, there will be a “Honk for your Rights” rally at 1 p.m. at City Hall in Whitefish, on the corners of Baker Ave & Second St. E. People are encouraged to bring homemade signs to the rally.
Folks will march down Baker Avenue to Baker Park to network with candidates, The Flathead Democrats and affiliated partner organizations. U.S. Congressional Candidate Monica Tranel will address the crowd, along with Ryan Busse, candidate for governor, Sara Busse and Raph Graybill. Mini Timmaraju, President and CEO of Reproductive Freedom for All will round out the group of speakers.
“We ask that you join us in this monumental moment for Montana,” said Women’s Weekend of Action organizers Nikki Eisinger and Joan Ehrenberg. “Reproductive freedom is a matter of personal privacy and essential to our human rights. Let’s secure that right in our MT Constitution.”
