Whitefish Theatre Company presents ‘Tosca’
Whitefish Theatre Company, in collaboration with the Whitefish Performing Arts Center, presents “Tosca” as part of the 2024-2025 live streaming season of the Metropolitan Opera Live in HD.
Featuring some of Giacomo Puccini’s most memorable melodies, “Tosca” will be shown on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 11:00 a.m. at the Whitefish Performing Arts Center.
Sung in Italian with subtitles, “Tosca” is a roller coaster story of love, lust, jealousy, murder and political intrigue, questioning just how far one would go to save a loved one.
David McVicar’s thrilling production stars soprano Lise Davidsen as the volatile diva Floria Tosca and baritone Quinn Kelsey as the sadistic chief of police Scarpia. Tenor Freddie De Tommaso makes an eagerly anticipated company debut as Tosca’s revolutionary lover, Cavaradossi. Met Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin conducts the score.
The Live in HD experience offers exclusive behind-the-scenes content and cast interviews. Approximate run time is 3 hours and 30 minutes, including two 30-minute intermissions.
