Police Calls: Ready, aim, firework

Oct. 30 

A car parked on Second Street was a concern. It was moved. 

The caller had questions about a dog barking on Aspen Court. 

A large white dog without a collar was reportedly wandering around near Seventh Street. 

A propane tank left near the mailbox on Sixth Street was deemed suspicious. 

A small blue Nissan Altima stuck a bear on Lakeshore Drive. The bear ran off after the accident. 

Oct. 31 

Police moved and dispatched an injured deer on Spokane Avenue. 

Debris in the road from a broken and scattered bag of garbage caused a hazard as people swerved all over the road to avoid it. 

In a potential case of animal cruelty, a male in a Dodge Ram truck was seen selling husky puppies at a location on Highway 93. The caller said the puppies were cold to the touch and believed they were freezing. 

A male in a green costume shot a firework at someone on Kalispell Avenue, then took off running. 

A large red van broke down on the side of the road on Spokane Avenue. 

A landlady on Columbia Avenue was reportedly hostile and aggressive after telling a tenant to be out by midnight. 

The driver of a dark SUV was seen spilling alcohol, returning to the house for more drinks, getting into the vehicle and driving south on Colorado Avenue. 

Another driver on Maple Avenue was contacted by police after showing minimal signs of impairment. 

The caller said she lost her brown leather wallet with credit cards, identification and cash, somewhere on Central Avenue. 

The driver of a car that crossed the fog line three times and almost struck a parked car was cited for speed.
