Whitefish baseball goes 1-2 on the week

Whitefish out-hit Bigfork but fell 6-5 in West Division action on Tuesday, April 23. The Vikings turned five hits into six runs, while the Bulldogs had seven hits.

Mason Lewis went the distance for Bigfork, allowing just two earned runs and striking out five. Brady Howke struck out seven in four innings of work for Whitefish, while Otto Klein struck out four in the final two innings.

The Vikings led 3-2 after three innings before Whitefish took a 4-3 lead in the fourth. Bigfork tied the game up in the fifth and added two more go-ahead runs in the sixth.

Whitefish committed six errors in the game.

Michael Miller had two hits, while Howke and Christian Schwaderer had doubles and Drew Queen had a triple.

Whitefish one-hit by Eureka

Whitefish was held to one hit in a 8-2 loss to Eureka in West Division action on Thursday, April 25. Michael Miller pitched over five innings for the Bulldogs, scattering four hits, but Eureka notched four runs in the sixth to take a commanding lead.

Whitefish had five errors in the game.

Whitefish takes down Ronan

Whitefish had nine hits en route to a 7-3 West Division victory over Ronan on Saturday, April 27. Ronan was held to three hits by Brady Howke and Otto Klein.

The Bulldogs trailed 3-2 after three innings, but tied the game up in the fourth and added two runs in the fifth and another two in the seventh.

Tair Orme was two hits, while Howke had two RBI and a double. Calvin Eisenbarth had a double and an RBI as well.
