Fifth Annual DREAM Adaptive Recreation’s SHRED-A-THON
A penguin, a cow and a Viking were among those who had a blast at Whitefish Mountain Resort Saturday as they took part in DREAM’s SHRED-A-THON, one of the organization’s biggest fundraisers of the year. DREAM provides year-round outdoor adaptive recreation opportunities to individuals with disabilities.
A Tyrannosaurus rex hiked up the mountain determinedly, despite fierce winds and blowing snow on the top third of the Big Mountain.
As of Monday morning, the event has raised $60,955. The campaign will remain open until April 6, with hopes of meeting this year’s goal of $65,000. Seventy-six people fundraised and garnered support for DREAM and most of them shredded some vert on Saturday.
In its first year, 2020, the SHRED-A-THON attracted 14 fundraisers who raised $11,500. Last year, the event raised $57,000.
