Stewart Adams

It is with deep sadness and much love that we mourn the earthly passing of Stewart E. Adams (Stew) of Whitefish on Feb. 20, 2024, after a long, hard battle with Parkinson’s.

Stew and his dear wife Debbie moved to Whitefish in 1994 and opened Bear Mountain Mercantile, a Central Avenue favorite. He was known to everyone he met as the kindest, most loving man who making each person feel important and valued. Stew’s love for Jesus was his motivation for how he lived life. He loved his family fiercely and sacrificed much for many. He will be greatly missed by the many lives he touched near and far.

Our sweet Stew will always be remembered as an amazing husband, father, grandpa, and great-grandfather, Known as an encourager and a follower of Jesus, he will be fondly remembered by his children, Danielle Adams Reyna, Dakota Stewart Adams, Cheryl Mitchell, Lauren Bement, Darin Adams, and his 12 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, March 15 at 3 p.m. at Fresh Life Church in Kalispell.
