Glacier A team sweeps loggers

The Glacier A Twins swept the Libby Loggers on Monday, June 10, in American Legion doubleheader action by a combined score of 32-4.

The Twins’ pitching duo of Matthew Mitts and Dawson Juntunen held Libby to just one hit in the first game, a 16-2 Glacier victory. The Twins had 12 hits as a team, including two from Stevyn Andrahick, Michael Miller and Trenton Derosa.

Andrachick, Kellen Kroger, Nolan Amerman and Derosa each had two hits. Matthew Mitts had a double, while Miller, Maddox Muller, and Amerman had triples in the victory.

In the second game, Glacier scored five runs in the fifth and six runs in the sixth for the 16-2 victory. Michael Miller, started the game, going nearly five innings and striking out four while scattering five hits.

Maddox Muller went 3-for-4 with two RBI, while Reed Boyer had three RBI, and Kellen Kroger drove in two runs in the victory. Glacier had ten hits as a team, while Libby had five hits and committed five errors in the game.

Glacier improved to 5-1 with the sweep.
