Twins B club crushes Libby

The Glacier Twin B Team scored 15 runs in the first two innings on their way to an 18-1 American Legion Baseball victory over Libby on Wednesday, June 5. Glacier finished with 16 hits, while Twins pitching held the Loggers to just three hits.

Connor Magnuson started the game for Glacier, striking out four, while Ben Dow finished the final three innings and struck out four.

Nolan Amerman went 4-for-6 with five RBI with a double, while Trenton Derosa was 3-for-6 with a double and two RBI. West Amerman also had two RBI and two hits, while Collison Lewis went 3-for-5 with four RBI and a double.

Magnuson helped his cause with three RBI.

Twins Split With Great Falls

Glacier had 11 hits in a 10-6 victory over the Great Falls Chargers B Team on Saturday, June 8 in Great Falls. Treyson Murphy struck out seven batters in three innings, while Trenton Derosa struck out another six in the victory.

Great Falls was held to just four hits. Nolan Amerman went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI. West Amerman and Collison Lewis also had two hits.

Glacier led 5-2 after three innings and added another run in the fourth and four more runs in the sixth. Great Falls committed five errors in the matchup. 

Inthe second game, Great Falls scored seven runs in its final three innings at the plate for a 13-7 victory over the Twins. Glacier committed seven errors in the matchup.

Nolan Amerman pitched the final 2 and 2/3 innings, striking out four. He helped his own cause with a double and a triple, driving in a run and finishing 3-for-4. Trenton Derosa, Treyson Murphy, and Kiernan Kelly also drove in runs.

Great Falls finished with seven hits and committed five errors.

Glacier’s B Team is now 3-3 on the season.
