Glacier downs Parkland falls to West Plains

Glacier split two games on Thursday at the Wood Bat Classic in Spokane on July 4. The Twins got past Parkland 2-1, holding them to three hits. In their second matchup, they fell to West Plains 3-2.

Against Parkland, Kellen Kroger went five innings and struck out four while allowing just three hits.

Maddox Muller and West Amerman drove in the crucial winning runs. Parkland took the initial 1-0 lead in the top of the sixth but the Twins scored a run in the bottom of the frame and the go-ahead run in the seventh.

The Twins finished with six hits, including a 2-for-2 performance by Stevyn Andrachick. West Amerman closed out the final two innings on the mound, allowing no hits.

Against West Plains, the game was tied 2-2 before West Plains scored the go-ahead run in the sixth. Both teams finished with four hits and two errors.

Maddox Muller pitched the complete game for the Twins, scattering four hits. Jacob McIntyre and Muller each drove in runs in the loss. Dawson Juntunen also went 2-for-2 in the matchup. 

Glacier Crushes Pendleton

The Twins handled their Oregon opponent early, scoring nine runs in the first two innings in an 11-3 victory on Friday, July 5 in the Wood Bat Classic in Spokane. Michael Miller pitched the entire game, striking out two and allowing just six hits.

Stevyn Andrahick went 2-for-3 for the Twins, both doubles, which drove in three runs.

Maddox Muller drove in two runs as did Jacob McIntyre, who finished the game with two hits. Dawson Juntunen had a multi-hit game as well.

Crew Defeats Glacier

The Crew 18U team had eight runs in the first three innings en route to a 16-4 victory over Glaicer on Friday, July 5 in the Wood Bat Classic in Spokane.

Glacier took a 4-0 lead in the top of the first, but the Crew answered with two runs in the bottom of the frame and four more in the bottom of the second.

Noah Amerman drove in three runs for the Twins, while Michael Miller notched another RBI. Matthew Mitts had a double, while Noah Amerman had a triple. 

Stars Come Back Against Glacier

The NW 509 Stars came back against Glacier, winning 10-6 in the Wood Bat Classic in Spokane on Saturday, July 6.

Glacier led 4-2 until the top of the third when the Stars posted a five-run rally and didn’t look back. Noah Amerman and Reed Boyer each drove in two runs for the Twins, while Michael Miller and Matthew Mitts also had RBIs.

Glacier did have quite a few doubles, as Jacob McIntyre, Kellen Kroger, Boyer, and Trenton Derosa swatted extra bases.
