Whitefish swimmers medal at Kalispell Braves meet

Whitefish had several placers at the Kalispell High School Brave Pack Meet on Saturday, Jan. 20. The Whitefish girls team placed second in the meet.

Whitefish won the Girls 200-yard freestyle relay with a time of 1:56.93 and the B-squad was fifth (2:20.65). The Bulldogs also placed fifth in the boys 200-yard freestyle relay (1:49.40). Whitefish’s girls 200 yard medley relay placed fifth (2:37.13), while the boys 200-yard medley relay was fourth (2:23.13).

Bulldog Avery Theis was second in the girls 100-yard backstroke (1:12.23), and Landon Brown was third in the boys 100-yard breastroke (1:18.58).

Whitefish also placed second in the girls 400 freestyle relay (4:26.93).

The Lady Bulldogs’ Sophie McDermott was second in the 200 free (2:29.66). Teammate Avery Theis was second in the 200-yard intermediate race (2:44.28), and Georgia Morrell was fourth (3:01.70).

McDermott placed fifth in the 100 free (1:10.80) and teammate June Callaway was sixth in the same race (1:11.98).

Landon Brown was sixth (56.16) in the boys 100 free.
