District cancels school, activities for Friday due to weather

Whitefish School District has canceled school tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 12, due to unsafe road and weather conditions.
School is canceled for Muldown Elementary, Whitefish Middle and Whitefish High School.
In a letter to families, Whitefish Superintendent Dave Means stated the reasoning for canceling school, "Due to the updated weather forecast calling for decreasing temperatures to -22 degrees with a wind chill from -40 to -50."
Means said the cancellation includes all activities, athletics and associated practices for both Today, Thursday, and Friday.
Today's dismissal is at the regular scheduled time with all bus routes running.
