Police Calls: A disorderly customer, red chicken at large

Dec. 20

  • Some kids behind a parking lot on Central Avenue were screaming “Help me” just to mess with people. They were counseled.


  • Someone reported that a dog in a truck parked on Railway Street was barking a lot.


  • The driver of a gold-tan car on Park Avenue doesn’t stop at stop signs and drives recklessly. He drives up and down Park Avenue then turns on Sixth Street, honking the horn while driving. 


Dec. 21


  • Cars were swerving around a couple boards in the inside lane on JP Road. The roadway was cleared shortly after.


  • An employee’s car was parked in the garage and his keys were parked in the car.


Dec. 22


  • A Toyota 4 Runner and a Chevy Colorado had an accident on Baker Avenue. There were no injuries.


  • A neighbor on Park Avenue reportedly left his dog outside, barking and whining, for over ten minutes.


  • The caller said a blue Chevy truck that was driving without its headlights on, nearly hit him on Highway 93.


  • A male was warned about disturbing the peace on Baker Avenue.


Dec. 23


  • A small plane crash landed and both occupants were uninjured. Some amount of fuel, between 5 and 10 gallons, spilled onto the ground. 


  • A brown wallet was found.


  • There was a light red chicken with a hairless neck loose in the area around Highway 93. 


  • A neighbor on Park Avenue was reported for driving fast in the neighborhood. The caller would like law enforcement to speak with her and tell her to slow down.


  • A green truck apparently tailgated the caller and followed him to a location before driving away.


  • A light blue Lexus was seen driving on Highway 40 recklessly. The driver couldn’t seem to keep a consistent speed and was having trouble staying in his lane.


  • Thanks to the neighbor’s camera, the people on River Lakes Drive know that a person was trying to open their door. They had previously thought the noise might have been caused by animals.


Dec. 24


  • A gray truck was seen swerving on Highway 93.


  • The caller assumed the driver of a Volvo with Alberta plates had been drunk and passed out since he was parked on First Street for over an hour with his motor running.


  • The driver of a green Dodge was unable to stay in his lane and was seen bouncing off curbs on Karrow Avenue.


  • A blue heeler was found and the caller said she would keep the dog at her place until the owners are found.


  • While at a gas station on Treeline Road, the caller said another driver hit his truck, got out of his vehicle, then back in, and took off. 


  • Someone on Pheasant Run locked his keys in the car.


  • A disorderly customer went through a drive through on Highway 93, then went inside the lobby and cussed at the employees. Reportedly, he got mad because the employee said she would be with him shortly. The angry man then left and may or may not have backed into a pole while leaving.


  • A reckless driver on Highway 93 was swerving and nearly hit the caller.


  • A reckless driver on Highway 40 was swerving all over the road and went into the oncoming lane a few times.


  • An intoxicated male called the police to talk about hunting but he said he would not give his last name to just anyone.
