Whitefish swim teams finish fourth at state

The Whitefish boys and girls swim teams both took fourth at the 2024 MHSA State Swim Meet over the weekend at Great Falls in the AB Meet.

Gretel Vine was second in the girls 200-yard freestyle (2:21.10). Avery Theis was second in the girls 100-yard freestyle (57.98) and third in the girls 50-yard freestyle (26.74).

Sophie McDermott was fourth in the girls 200-yard freestyle (2:26.96) and and fifth in the girls 500-yard freestyle (6:32.90). Georgia Morrell was sixth in the girls 100-yard freestyle (1:01.20). Emi Qunell was fourth in the Girls 100-yard backstroke (1:13.07).

Whitefish also placed second in the Girls 200-yard medley relay (2:09.32) and third in the Girls 200-yard freestyle (1:53.02).

On the boys’ side, Landon Brown was fourth (52.99) in the Boys 100-yard freestyle and fourth in the boys 50-yard freestyle (24.08).

Whitefish relay teams placed third in the boys 200-yard freestyle (1:40.88) and third in the boys 200-yard freestyle (1:40.88).

Gavin Sibson was fifth (53.49) in the boys 100-yard freestyle, and third in the boys 200-yard freestyle (2:00.05). Logan Hyland was sixth in the boys 500-yard freestyle (7:01.68).

Ryland Armstrong was sixth in the Boys 100-Yard Backstroke (1:11.26).
