"It's playoff basketball time, and we need to get more focused and work even harder as we go into these games," Whitefish Head Coach Bob Bolam said.

Whitefish Takes Out Libby

Whitefish got off to a good start and never let up in a 61-30 Northwest A Conference victory on Thursday, February 8.

"We came out and played man-to-man defense with good intensity," Whitefish Head Coach Bob Bolam said. "All our players fed off of each other and really played 32 minutes of good basketball. Our offensive output was fueled by our work on defense. That being said, Bailey Smith came out on fire and scored 20 points in the first half to really get us going."

The Lady Bulldogs had a 31-16 lead at halftime and opened up the third quarter on a 15-8 run to really seal the deal in the contest.

Bailey Scott poured in 25 points for Whitefish, while Ainsley Scott added 13 points.

"I think what stands out is that the team is starting to play better together both offensively and defensively," Bolam said. "We have really started to see each other on offense and have been taking the ball to the hoop and causing more problems for the defense."

Libby fell to 0-10 in conference play and 1-15 overall.
