Bulldogs lose close game to Bigfork

Whitefish had two big outputs from Mason Genovese and Mason Kelch, but couldn't overcome a tough Bigfork squad, 51-46 on Saturday, Feb. 10, in Northwest A action.

Genovese scored 19 and Kelch had 18. Whitefish trailed by seven after the first quarter and 27-20 at halftime.

Whitefish fell behind by 12 points in the third quarter en route to the loss.

Carson Gullick also notched eight points for the Bulldogs.

Whitefish fell to 5-7 in conference action, while Bigfork improved to 7-5.

Balanced attack lifts Whitefish past Libby

Whitefish had three players in double digits and a fourth one a bucket away in a 59-43 Northwest A victory over Libby on Thursday, Feb. 8.

The Bulldogs powered to a 28-18 halftime lead and then, after a small comeback by Libby in the third, finished the game off on a 19-9 run.

Carson Gulick led Whitefish with 17 points, while Mason Kelch added 15 and Mason Genovese notched 11. Carson Krack had eight points.

Libby fell to 1-9 in conference play and 3-13 overall.

Whitefish Loses Close One To Browning

Whitefish matched up against Browning’s high-powered offense well but ultimately fell to the Northwest A power, 72-70 on Tuesday, Feb. 2.

The game was knotted 34-34 at halftime, and the Indians took a two-point lead at the end of the third quarter.

Mason Kelch led Whitefish with 23 points, while CJ Thew notched 21 points, and Carson Gulick had 14.

Browning improved to 7-2 in conference play and 11-4 overall.
