Physical therapists specialize in dry needling
Manual Orthopedic & Sports Therapy (MOST) in Whitefish announced that two of their physical therapists, Jennifer Alexander, MS PT, CMT and Kim Weichers, PT, DPT have recently earned the credentials of Certified Myofascial Trigger Point/Dry Needling Therapists (CMTPT/DN).
The certification, awarded by Myopain Seminars, is the result of completing a three-course training program that includes comprehensive testing, a one-on-one practical examination, and a written exam covering anatomy, biochemical basis of pain and the latest in pain science.
Myopain Seminars is the oldest dry needling certification provider in the country. The curriculum encompasses a full-body approach to myofascial pain management, from the feet to the face and skull. The course is designed to elevate clinicians in treating myofascial pain, a condition often associated with muscle tightness, trigger points, joint dysfunction, injuries and chronic pain.
