Second place Whitefish speech and debate with four champions

The Whitefish speech and debate team was back in action last weekend at the Hamilton Invite. They came back strong after a brief break from competing and had four individual champions.  

“The amount of work the students put into rebuilding to get ready for this tournament was exceptional,” said Sara Mueller, Whitefish speech and debate coach. 

The team rivalry against Columbia Falls is always tight and this time the Wildcats took the cumulative win. Whitefish was second and Frenchtown was third.  

“We respect their talent, congratulate them on their win, and are grateful for the camaraderie our teams have established and the support we have received from them in the last two weeks,” Mueller said.  

The team will compete at the Kalispell invite Dec. 13-14.
