Police Calls: Reckless driver on his phone

July 24  

There was an active fire in an air conditioning unit on Seventh Street and the hallway was filled with smoke.  

The caller on Colorado Avenue said the landlord takes pictures of her with her dog whenever they go outside.  

Reportedly, two campers had been parked for weeks on Shiloh Avenue.  

There was a trailer sticking out into the northbound lane of Dakota Avenue and had been parked there for two hours before being moved.  

Someone called with questions about laws regarding exposing oneself in front of a window.  

A vehicle was blocking the northbound lane of Idaho Avenue.  

The caller heard two explosions and believed there were fireworks going off.  

The caller on Wisconsin Avenue saw five or six kids in a pool where they were not supposed to be. The teens were removed and advised of pool hours. 


July 25 

A reckless driver of a black truck was seen crossing the yellow line while seemingly unable to stay in his lane on Highway 93. He was on his phone and not paying attention. 

Two bottles were found in a crawl space on River Lakes Drive and they stank. People who smelled the bottles felt nauseous. 

The caller wanted to know what could be done about a car that had been parked on Creekview Court for three days. 

Drug paraphernalia was reportedly found in an apartment unit on Skyles Place. 

A woman who was singing at a location on Central Avenue was attacked by a woman who threw a beer glass at her feet. 

Two men were seen digging through private dumpsters on Baker Avenue. They were looking for their lost cell phone. 

A disorderly male was refusing to leave a location on Wisconsin Avenue. 

A very intoxicated female was yelling and cursing at kids for “being too loud” on Wisconsin Avenue. 

A male was advised to stay out of people’s yards. 

Four people were reportedly trespassing in the pool area at a location on Wisconsin Avenue. When asked to leave, they refused.
