Whitefish makes podium trips In Corvallis

The Whitefish boys placed fifth at the Sapphire Twilight Meet in Corvallis behind two first-place winners. Carson Krack won the 200-meter run with a personal record of 22.64. Simon Douglas won the 1,600-meter run with a time of 4:29.56.

In the 400-meter run, Azure Stolte placed second with a season-best 53.66. Morgan Kyle was third in the 110-meter hurdles with a season-best 16.91. Kyle was also third in the long jump with a mark of 19-8, another season best. 

Ryder Barinowski was fourth in the 100-meter run (11.71)

Relays were fruitful for the Bulldogs, who placed second in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:32.23. In the 4x100 relay, the Bulldogs were third with a time of 44.46. 

On the girls side, the Whitefish girls placed fourth with three athletes winning events. 

Brooke Zetooney won the 200-meter run (25.87), while teammate Hailey Ells was third (26.67). Both were season bests. Kellie Klepper won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:31.23. Bailey Smith won the long jump with a season-best mark of 15-5.5 

Zetooney was also second in the shot put with a season best heave of 35-6. Smith was third in the javelin with a career-best throw of 106-7. 

Junior Rachael Wilmot posted a season-best 59.31 in the 400-meter run to place second. Whitefish’s 4x400 relay placed second behind Hamilton with a time of 4:19.17. 

Anna Boysen was fifth in the 100-meter run 13.63. Hanna Gawe placed fifth in the triple jump with a season best mark of 32-.5. 

Whitefish Places Second At Columbia Falls

Whitefish finished second in both boys and girls scoring at the Columbia Falls Iceberg Invitational on April 20. 

Carson Krack won the 400-meter run with a career-best time of 51.75. Teammate Simon Douglas followed that up by winning the 800-meter run (2:200.81). Carson Gulick won the 110-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 17.10. Azure Stolte notched a win in the 300-meter hurdles with a career-best 43.76. Krack was third in the 100-meter run with a personal best time of 11.55. 

In the pole vault, Cameron Diehl posted a career-best 11-0 to place second. 

Ryder Barinowski was fifth in the 200-meter run (24.37). Ethan Amick was fifth in the 1,600-meter run (4:52.58)

In the relays, Whitefish was third (46.41) in the 4x100 relay. 

On the girls side, Hailey Ells won three events. 

Hailey Ells won the 400-meter run with a season-best time of 1:01.87. Anna Boysen was fourth in the event as a freshman, with a personal-best time of 1:05.08. Ells also won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.42 and the high jump with a mark of 5-0. 

Norah Schmidt was second in the pole vault with a mark of 10-0, while teammate Hanna Gawe was fourth (8-0). 

Rachael Wilmot placed third in the 200-meter run with a season-best time of 27.09. Kellie Klepper was third in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:41.84. Bailey Smith was third in the triple jump (34-4) and teammate Norah Schmidt was fourth (34-2). 

The Whitefish 4x100 team placed second (54.16).
