Whitefish tennis teams rack up wins
Whitefish won four tennis matchups on Thursday, April 11, giving Northwestern A conference foes Libby and Ronan a thorough beating.
The Whitefish girls defeated Libby 6-1 as Alivia Lusko won her No. 1 singles matchup 6-1, while Liesl Brust, Aisnley Grubb and Gretel Vine picked up their singles match as well.
Ainsley Scott and Maggie Mercer won their No. 1 doubles matchup over Ellie Andreessen and Allie Thortenson 6-0, 6-2. Camry Kelch and Zoey Marzo also won.
The Whitefish girls also defeated Ronan 6-1, with the one win being a match forfeit. Alivia Lusko defeated Ronan’s No. 1, Kate Johnson, 6-0, 6-0 while Brust defeat Loren Olson 6-0, 6-0 and Delila Vine toppled her No. 3 singles foe 6-0, 6-0. In doubles action, Scott and Mercer downed their No. 1 doubles team foes Ellie Andressen Allie Thertenson
On the boys side, Whitefish bounced back from a No. 1 singles matchup loss to defeat Ronan 6-1. Owen Erickson, Walt Seigmund and Aaron Anderson won their singles matchups.
In doubles action Cole Moses and Luke Craig won their No. 1 doubles matchup 6-0, 6-0. Buren Brust and Owen Erickson also won their doubles matchup as did Mason Kelch and Dane Hunt.
Against Libby, more of the same occurred as the Bulldogs won 6-1. Jack Oehlerich, Walt Seighmund and Aaron Anderson won their tennis matchups. In doubles action, Mason Kelch and Dane Hunt defeated Libby’s Tyler Anderson and Xavier Reats 6-1, 6-3.
