Police Calls: Empty lunch box raises suspicions

Aug. 27

Someone reported that her purse was taken from a location on Central Avenue and that the hostess there was acting weird.

Twenty to twenty-five kids were seen on a private beach area and there was confusion over the HOA. The callers were advised that police do not enforce HOA rules.

Two people who seemed to have been drinking were unruly in a business on Highway 93. The manager asked them to leave the store and they did.

It turned out, the group at the beach were homeowners in the area.

A 7-year-old chocolate Labrador was missing, then he was found.

A male was urinating on a vehicle on Central Avenue. Officers took his keys until he became sober or he could find a sober driver.

Twenty-one trash cans were stickered for garbage ordinance violations.

Sept. 3

When a black Toyota and a white Toyota collided, it resulted in minimal damage to the cars and no injuries to the drivers.

A street bike was reported for speeding and running stop signs.

The driver of a Nissan was swerving and nearly went off the road on Armory Road.

A yellow Labrador mix was found outside his fence and was brought to the police station.

Five teen boys were reportedly in the pool on Crestwood Drive and they were not supposed to be there. They agreed to leave.

A drunk person wreaked havoc on a potted plant on Central Avenue and there is video footage of the event.

A box full of nails and screws was in the road on Highway 93.

Sept.4

A child accidentally called 911.

The yellow Labrador found yesterday was returned to his owners today.

Accidental calls to 911 were blamed on troubles with an Apple Watch.

A “strange male” with long hair and a pink shirt was seen going door to door on Ashar Avenue and was considered suspicious.

There was a theft at a business on 13th Street.

Another theft occurred at a business on Highway 93, seemingly by the same shoplifter.

A Jeep Gladiator hit a rented Hyundai in a parking lot on Highway 93. No one was injured and the parties were cooperative and exchanged information.

A dog of unknown breeding wearing a black and white collar was found, still on the loose, on Railway Street.

The cones that someone had set up for no reason at the entrance of East First Street were removed.

Sept. 5

A truck reportedly cut off the caller twice and was tailgating along Montana 40.

A burglary was reported at a business on Highway 93. Thirty-four $100 bills and six $20 bills were missing from the cash drawer.

A brown Labrador that had been found and turned in to the police was reunited with his owner.

Someone called to report a suspicious, blue cooler on the side of State Park Road near the stop sign that had been there all day. It was an empty lunch box.

Trash cans were dumped by bears on 18th Street and on Second Street between 1 and 4:30 a.m.
