Whitefish volleyball wins two Northwest A battles
The Lady Bulldogs battled and eventually defeated Bigfork in five sets by scores of 17-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-13, 15-11 in a match that went back and forth.
Isabella Hartwig led Whitefish with 12 kills, while Bailey Smith and Hailey Ells each had eight kills.
Hartwig also added four blocks, while Ells had two. The defense was spread out, as Maggie Mercer had 15 digs, Myli Ridgeway had 13 and Smith had 10. Ainsley Scott led the offense with 19 assists, and Kaydence Blackwell had 11.
Whitefish improved to 9-2 overall, having won nine matches in a row.
Whitefish remained first in the Northwest A Conference with a 25-22, 23-25, 21-25, 25-18 victory over Polson on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
Hartwig had 11 kills, while Brooke Zetooney added another 10 to lead the Lady Bulldogs. Hartwig was also a force at the net with 6.5 blocks. Scott had 19 assists, and Blackwell added nine more. Zetooney also had three aces in the win.
Ridgeway had 16 digs, while Scott had 14.
