Soccer athletes earn postseason honors

Girls Soccer

Five players from the Whitefish girls soccer team were selected to the Class A All-State team this year after the Lady Bulldogs won their first state championship in 17 years. 

Seniors Isabelle Cooke, Norah Schmidt and Olivia Genovese were selected for the All-State team as were juniors Delaney Smith and Sadie Olson.

All-State players are Northwestern A All-Conference First Team selections as well.

Making the All-Conference Second team were juniors Charlize Ullrich and Madison Gordon. Junior Truth Baxter also earned an honorable mention.

The Lady Dogs defeated Columbia Falls 3-1 in the state championship game to complete a winning 13-2 season and finally hold that first-place trophy.


Boys Soccer 

After winning the 2023 Class A State Championship, the Whitefish boys soccer team had five Class A All-State selections this year

Seniors Rye Duffy, Ryder Elliott, Adam Healy and Jackson Dorvall were all honored for their play this year that resulted in an undefeated season. Sophomore Kyler Johnson was also named All-State.

Players named as All-State selections were also Northwest A All-Conference First-Team selections.

On the Northwest A All-Conference Second Team were seniors Charlie Hyatt and Collin Lyman and juniors Elijah Adams-Griffin, Griffin Gunlikson and Preston McPherson.

The Bulldogs marked an undefeated season this fall and returned to the top of Class A after defeating Billings Central 1-0 in the state championship. This marked the fifth state title win in six years for Whitefish boys soccer.
