Although there was no Memorial Day parade this year, a wreath was dropped from the Veterans Memorial Bridge on Monday and Whitefish's Lion Mountain VFW Post 276 held a moving ceremony at the Whitefish City Cemetery to honor all veterans. The Whitefish High School band played prior to the ceremony and a light rain fell, in keeping with the somber mood of the event.
