Softball gets wins over Browning, goes 2-2 at Butte Invite

The Whitefish softball team is hitting its stride as the postseason approaches.

The Lady Bulldogs last week won a doubleheader over Browning and then went 2-2 at a tournament in Butte.

A highlight for the team has been team captain junior Jude Perry who has now hit four home runs this season. Last week she hit two homers against Browning and one in a game against Laurel.

“The team is starting to find their stride,” Whitefish head coach Dave Bennetts said. “We’re hoping to use that momentum this week… divisionals start on Friday.”

Whitefish will head to the Western A Divisional softball tournament on Friday and Saturday in Frenchtown. If they qualify, the state tourney will be the following weekend in Belgrade.
