Whitefish School District election results

The preliminary results for the Whitefish school election that occurred on Tuesday, May 2, are tallied.
Voters approved a general fund operating levy for $231,766 that will cover staff salary increases and additional staffing needs, according to the school district. The votes were 1,482 for and 786 against.
Additionally, all three incumbents were re-elected as Whitefish School District trustees — including Jerrie Boksich, Katie Clarke and Shannon Hanson.
There are about 12,000 registered active voters in the Whitefish School District. The voter turnout was about 19%.
