April 18
A dump truck with its tailgate down was dropping rocks onto the roadway. Public works cleaned up the situation.
Two huskies were reported for chasing deer on Edgewood Place.
April 19
A man was reportedly caught swapping price tags inside a store on Highway 93.
The manager of a store on Highway 93 had video footage of a hit and run incident.
April 20
Fourteen warnings were issued for violations of the ordinance governing trash cans.
April 21
Someone called to say a neighborhood dog has bitten about three different children in the last year on Granite Drive.
A caller would like people to slow down on Karrow Avenue and that there is a dead deer in the road and traffic is having to go around it.
A third person called about the dead deer on Karrow Avenue, requested to speak to an officer and said, “I would love to yell at someone.”
Someone at a business on Central Avenue called to give a heads up about someone leaving the establishment who had been drinking too much.
The owner of a couple loose dogs said she would grab them.
April 22
A border collie with no collar was running around on Pine Avenue. A conscientious citizen delivered the dog to the police station where he was later returned to its owner.
Two people without helmets were reportedly riding a four-wheeler, slamming the brakes, speeding and getting close to cars on Edgewood Drive.
Public Works was notified that a street sign for Joy Drive was missing from the intersection.
April 25
It was possible that a mailman forgot to close the back door of a bank of mailboxes and the caller was concerned about mail being stolen on Colorado Avenue.
A German Shepherd was found by the golf course and was brought to the police department’s kennel.
A truck and trailer were blocking the fire hydrant on Akers Lane.
April 26
The caller found a construction generator near the road on Seventh Street and is worried that it was stolen.
A neighbor on Denver Street isn’t behaving neighborly, as he is lighting fireworks off every few nights.
