Bulldog Kitar Olsen signs with Baldwin Wallace for track and field
Whitefish senior Kitar Olsen last week signed a letter of intent to join the Baldwin Wallace University track and field team next school year.
Baldwin Wallace is a private university in Berea, Ohio just outside of Cleveland. Olsen says the school recruited him from the college recruiting website, ncsasports.org. He plans to compete in throwing events, with an emphasis on javelin. Ohio doesn’t have javelin in high school, so Baldwin Wallace recruits out of state.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to get better,” Olsen said of his future in college track and field. “And, just having a family in college will be fun too.”
Olsen competes on the Whitefish High School track and field team, and also competed in wrestling his senior year. Olsen mainly competes in shot put, discus and javelin. He says his goal for his senior track and field season is to make it to state and hopefully earn an All-State recognition.
He plans to major in cyber security analytics and minor or double-major in computer science.
