Christian Academy girls basketball runner-up in rural league
The Whitefish Christian Academy’s (WCA) fifth-sixth grade girls basketball team recently earned second place to Deer Park in the Flathead Valley Rural League.
The second-place finish was the best in WCA school history — last year the team earned third place.
The Lady Lions finished with a 9-5 overall record this season. The school says most of those losses came early in the season, indicating the growth and chemistry the girls enjoyed as the season progressed.
The Flathead Valley Rural league playoffs were hosted by Swan River School. The Rural League consists of 13 valley schools.
