Nelson joins Stockman Bank as Whitefish branch manager
Stockman Bank recently announced Phil Nelson is joining the bank as a vice president and branch manager for Stockman’s Whitefish location. The bank is currently under construction and slated to open this spring.
Nelson brings 21 years of banking experience to the position in a career that started on the teller line and advanced through commercial credit analysis, commercial lending, team leadership and branch management. He was previously a vice president, and commercial loan officer at a financial institution in Billings, his hometown.
His responsibilities at Stockman will include overseeing bank operations, management and employee supervision, developing and servicing commercial and construction loans and assisting clients with their lending and credit needs.

Nelson earned his Master of Science in accounting from Texas A&M University in Commerce, Texas and his Bachelor of Science in business administration from Montana State University-Billings.
