Jane Tappan, 79

Jane (Taylor) Tappan departed this life on Dec. 6, 2022, at the age of 79. She was born and raised in Whitefish, Montana. It was here she spent her most memorable moments which included marrying the love of her life and raising two children.

She found joy in life's simple pleasures: family, home, hospitality, pets and the abundant wildlife that graced her property. She loved nothing more than spending time with grandkids.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, William Tappan, two children, Sherri Tappan and Charles Tappan, six grandchildren, Allie Mitchell, Jacob Helzer, Sascha, Mika, Isla and Logan Tappan, two great-grandchildren, Addie and Gabbie Helzer, two sisters, Shirley Wagner and Billie Irene Hess, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who were very special to her.

Although she is gone, she will never be forgotten by those whose lives she touched. A private service will be held in her honor on June 17, 2024.
