Runners participate in Glacier Nordic Club's 41st Big Mountain Run
On Saturday, 73 gritty runners participated in the 41st Annual Big Mountain Run. Conditions were hot and hazy for the 3.8 mile race up the Danny On trail.
The event is hosted each year by the Glacier Nordic Club. All proceeds from the race, which sports a 2,200-foot elevation gain, support the non-profit Glacier Nordic Ski Team.
King of the Mountain, Ryan Strotnicki finished with a time of 35:17 and Queen of the Mountain, Kai Ivanici ran 44:51.
Princess of the Mountain was Findley Dezzani in 56:46 and Prince of the Mountain, Ethan Amick, ran up the mountain in 41:55.
Six runners ran times (plus 10 minutes for female runners) that were equal to or less than their age, thus earning a cupcake and joining the Birthday Club.
