Police Calls: Driving and parking on wrong side of street

Jan. 31
7:47 a.m. The driver of a vehicle that received a parking ticket explained to police that she had tried to move the car last night but it was frozen to the ground. Arrangements were then made to move the vehicle.
4:12 p.m. It has been difficult to contact the owner of the dark blue car that’s been parked for over 24 hours on Granite Drive and it is unclear whether the car is broken down or not.
6:59 p.m. The vehicle with Texas plates that nearly hit the caller was traveling on the wrong side of the street on Third Street, then parked on the wrong side of the street while the driver possibly went inside the liquor store.
Feb. 1
10:39 a.m. The caller was pleading for an extension so that she could have more time to move her car before it is towed.
12:32 p.m. While a family waited for a bus, there were differing accounts of the nature of an interaction between the father and a two-year-old child. One caller says he was yelling and screaming because the child was crying while other witnesses say the conversation was “disciplinary in nature and not concerning to them.”
5:24 p.m. The caller from Wisconsin Avenue said someone stole her keys and used them to get into her car.
6:28 p.m. The dark colored Subaru was cause for concern as it is parked in front of a fire hydrant and a van and is positioned such that it nearly caused a crash and, according to the caller, might cause an actual crash.
6:57 p.m. A snowmobile with a ramp next to it was sitting on the road, in the middle of Highway 93.
8:34 p.m. The caller requested a check on a young-sounding dog who has been barking on Fourth Street.
Feb. 2
2:10 p.m. A resident of Second Street called to complain about vehicles speeding in the area, especially logging trucks.
8:13 p.m. Reportedly, the two Pomeranians inside a Ford parked on the north side of the lot at a business on Highway 93 have been barking constantly for over three hours.
12:48 a.m. A shuttle was called for two intoxicated, male pedestrians on Good Avenue.
1:16 a.m. A bicyclist was advised not to ride in the middle of the road on Woodside Lane.
1:35 a.m. A male was found sleeping on a bench in a location on Baker Avenue. He had also been smoking there. He was given a ride to his real accommodations.
Feb. 3
10:08 a.m. Someone working construction on Colorado Avenue “hit the phone button too many times” and accidentally dialed 911.
12:26 p.m. On Baker Avenue, there is a white Cadillac parked in the way of the caller’s delivery truck. The hope is that the owner can be located.
3:06 p.m. The man who accidentally dialed 911 apologized and said he had been trying to close his sunroof.
4:45 p.m. A man on Seventh Street says his wallet was stolen.
11:16 a.m. A man tried to help an intoxicated pedestrian who was drinking at the viaduct but he was too drunk. The caller found the impaired man lying in a snowbank.
12:37 a.m. In the midst of trying to get an intoxicated female an Uber home, the woman’s friends flagged down a police officer for help.
4:40 a.m. The employee at a location on Baker Avenue said a male has been in the lobby for at least an hour. The employee does not feel safe with him there and would like him removed.
