The Republican Party is the party of white Christian Nationalists trying to rewrite history by banning books, blocking black history education and imposing their religious beliefs on us all. The U.S. was founded on freedom of or even from religion. The First Amendment unequivocally emphasizes important freedoms including separation of church and state.
The Christian Nationalism movement imposes their kind of religion via Patriot Academy classes in Montana and across the U.S. Indoctrination begins at age 13, where leadership skills, Second Amendment rights and firearms training are offered. Founder Rick Green advocates arming teachers. In the pandemic, Green, a former Texas representative, spread unscientific information and was against masking.
A New York Times article reported numerous Montana legislators embraced the Christian Nationalist ideology including Rep. Steven Galloway from Great Falls. The same article quoted Keith Regier, state senator from Kalispell, “All laws should be based on Judeo-Christian principles.”
They advocate anti-democratic views including racism, opposition of transgender care, and block human and women’s rights with a goal to ban abortion even in rape, incest and to preserve the life of the mother.
Revisionists are trying to rewrite history to create a theocracy of white separatists.
