Whitefish girls fall to Miles City, Havre
Whitefish wrapped up their trip to the East-West Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday with a 57-18 loss to Miles City.
“The trip East was a good bonding experience for our girls,” Whitefish head coach Bob Bolam said. “A lot of time was spent on the bus. We played a couple of the best teams the East has to offer in Havre and Miles City. The girls got the opportunity to play against two very good and physical teams.
“The outcomes were tough, but I hope we can learn what it takes to compete at that level,” he added.
Miles City started the game on a 19-2 run and led 26-4 at halftime.
Whitefish was led by Jude Perry’s 6 points. Whitefish dropped to 2-3 on the season with the loss.
“Jude Perry was our leading scorer for the weekend, and Ainsley Scott provided great floor leadership and defensive effort,” Bolam said.
