Police Calls: Drivers doing donuts, kayak man shooting near homes

Nov. 25
A car in the alley on Second Street had been running without a muffler for at least an hour at 7:33 a.m. and the noise was troublesome for the caller.
The caller on Park Avenue said she was adjusting her fence when her neighbor harassed her.
A caller from Park Avenue was unable to go to work because the neighbor was blocking the driveway.
The caller was at the park with her grandchildren and was very upset by 11 off-leash dogs also at the park.
A dark-colored Jeep with California plates was driving way under the speed limit and weaving all over the road on Highway 93. He was later found to be having mechanical issues.
In what the caller said was an ongoing issue, two dogs were inside a Toyota SUV on Voyager Drive.

Someone lost a black pleather purse on Spokane Avenue.
Parking enforcement is aware of the tan Ford that has been parked on Third Street for almost a week and they are looking into it.
Someone lost his keys Thursday or Friday night.
Someone on Nelson Lane was trying to find his cell phone at 2:35 a.m. because he needed it for work the next day.
Nov. 28
The caller said there were numerous vehicles parked all over West Lakeshore Drive and this has been an ongoing issue for the last year.
A man in a kayak was shooting at ducks near the east end of JP Road. The caller was concerned for the safety of people in the residences nearby. When he spoke to the man, the shooter said that he was allowed to do it and continued. He then floated down the river.
The driver of the Dodge pickup had already submitted paperwork to renew his registration and the registration of his trailer, so he was only issued a warning.
Nov. 29
A building alarm sounded on Somers Avenue. The owners weren’t there but a dog was on the scene. The building appeared to be secure.
A large piece of construction equipment had been running for 12 hours near Washington Avenue, according to the caller.
Nov. 30
Two earthly morning accidents involving deer were reported. One was a red Chevy on Highway 93 and the other was a green Hyundai on Montana 40.
Drivers were not adhering to the 25 mph speed limit on Baker Avenue and there was concern for the safety of kids walking to school.
There was a report of damaged property on Pine Avenue.
A disturbance was reported in the parking lot on Lamb Lane. There were no specific details about the situation given but a neighbor did say people are causing chaos in the parking lot. Usually, it is just people spinning donuts in the parking lot.
Dec. 1
The driver of a Ford collided with a deer around 6:00 a.m. and was able to get the vehicle and the deer off the road.
A snowmobile and trailer were reported stolen yesterday and there was more information today.
A Chevy and a Toyota crashed on Highway 93 and there were no injuries.
A gray minivan has been parked in a parking lot off Highway 93 for about a week.
A Honda and a Chevy crashed on Baker Avenue. No one was hurt.
The reckless driver of a red pickup truck was driving along Fourth Street, spinning out and trying to do donuts. The caller was worried his behavior would endanger the children who would soon be walking home from school.
The driver of a black Jeep was reported for spinning out and drifting on Somers Avenue.
A group of kids was walking on Sixth Street when one said he wanted to steal a car so they could drive to their destination and he was looking through parked cars. When counseled by police, the kids said it was just a joke.
The lost Labrador cross was in the caller’s backyard but would get scared when the caller tried to grab him. The dog was wearing a collar.
A hit and run accident on Highway 93 may have involved a silver Toyota Tundra.
A male who had been drinking was throwing stuff at the caller’s wall and was refusing to leave.
Everything was found to be OK even though an alarm sounded on Preserve Parkway.
