The Whitefish softball team only played one game last week when Eureka came to town to play at Smiths Field on Friday.

In the Bulldogs' first home game of the season, Whitefish was able to put up a few runs but the Lady Lions took the win 18-4. The varsity team was also supposed to play Browning on Saturday, but the game was canceled.

“We're starting to find our stride, scoring some runs and getting outs,” Whitefish coach Dave Bennetts said. “A building process for sure, but improving with every game.”

Whitefish was scheduled to play Ronan at home on Tuesday after press time. Then the following week Whitefish will play Libby, Columbia Falls and also head to a weekend tournament in Frenchtown.
