Police Calls: Lost wallets and found crutches

April 5

The director of a store on Highway 93 called to report that a man wearing pajama bottoms is “creeping everyone out” and has been asked to leave the store a few times but the man refuses.

A small fender bender occurred in a parking lot on Highway 93.

The caller reported that someone is sawing down trees on Marina Crest Lane.

April 6

A white Tahoe driving north on HIghway 93 reportedly nearly hit five different cars.

A driver was warned for having no front license plate and a broken taillight.

Two speeding tickets were issued on Highway 93 within an hour. One vehicle was driving 84 mph in a 65 mph zone. Another was going 75 mph.

Another driver was cited for many violations, including seatbelt, no front plate, improper tag display and to top it off, the driver was using a cellphone.

A concerned caller reported a white Dodge that was heading north into town was swerving, speeding and passing unsafely.

Numerous juveniles were in a vehicle that was driving too close behind the caller and swerving back and forth. The caller also reported that someone was driving a loud dirt bike, popping wheelies and flipping off kids.

Someone found a pair of crutches in great condition and turned them in.

A citizen found a bicycle on his porch and brought it to the police station.

A caller from Birch Hill said there was a bear in the area eating trash that was put out this morning but didn’t get picked up.

April 7

A vehicle that swerved to avoid a deer suffered severe front end damage and the power pole was also damaged.

The wallet that was lost was not in the lost and found, thus, remained lost.

She found a husky and left several voice messages and texts for the owner but had no luck making contact so she will bring the dog to the police station.

The caller found it suspicious that a Jeep was in the parking lot on Baker Avenue with its door wide open and nobody was around.

A report came from Armory Road that a silver Porsche convertible is consistently driving recklessly and there is video evidence.

A rusty, blue truck was driving northbound in the southbound lane of Highway 93.

April 8

A driver's license was found near city beach and turned in.

Someone found a purse near the viaduct and it, too, was turned in.

The man missing his wallet called but his wallet had not been found.

The caller was worried the driver of a Ford who is drunk, belligerent and driving down Big Mountain Road might hurt someone.

A party on Texas Avenue was not very loud until later when it was very loud and the music was blasting.
