Hosting congressional candidate forum

We are all fortunate to live in a very engaged community where people care deeply about our growth as a city. And though it is hard work showing up for our democracy over and over again, it is also how we tend to it, preserve it and honor it.

I firmly believe that anyone who is willing to represent us deserves our respect, and it is important to listen to them and their viewpoints when they are attempting to win the right to plan our future for us. This year I am organizing a Candidate’s Forum on Friday, Sept. 23, 2022 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at Whitefish City Hall. I have invited the three Western District Congressional candidates, and to date two have confirmed. I have also invited the two candidates running for a seat on our Public Service Commission, and hopefully candidates for local seats will also attend.

This is a non-partisan event. It will not be recorded, unless a news agency chooses to do so. There will be formatted questions developed ahead of time and also a time for audience questions.
