Whitefish Library Association book sale is on
After two years away, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the WLA book sale will return Tuesday, Sept. 6, in the library’s Heckathorn Community Room. The sale will feature new and gently used books for all ages. The sale starts at 11 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. Plan to come early for the best selection.
The Whitefish Library Association was established in 1952 and became a non-profit in 1961. Their mission is to enrich the quality of life in the Whitefish area by fostering the growth and success of the Whitefish Community Library.
Over the years, the Association has employed grant writing and book sales to provide some of the library’s much needed maintenance, books and furniture. They also repainted the entire interior of the building.
Patrons have supported the Whitefish Community Library since its inception through donations of cash, equipment and gently used books. If the donated books are not able to be used in the library, they are offered to the Association for the fundraising sale.
