Celebrate future pickleball courts location

Smith Fields is the future home of six new pickleball courts to be constructed in spring 2023. The fundraising team behind the new pickleball courts will unveil the location, at the far eastern end of the east parking lot at Smith Fields just beyond the playground area, with a BBQ on Sunday, Sept. 18 from 5-7 p.m. The public is invited to the festivities for a site visit and some of Ed McGrew’s famous BBQ food.
Fundraising efforts have brought in over $160,000 from more than 60 donors. The team is working hard on granting opportunities, in-kind donations and tax-deductible cash gifts to reach the total goal of $250,000.
